Rock in Rio: meet Charlie Puth, singer who returns to the festival after 5 years

O Rock in Rio released a new wave of artists confirmed at the festival on Thursday night (7) and, among them, the singer Charlie Puth who comes to the festival – and the country – for the second time .

Rock in Rio will take place on the 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd of September 2024. Who is Charlie Puth?

Charles Otto Puth Jr, American singer, songwriter and producer, gained popularity for publishing his work independently, through a YouTube channel.

During his teenage years, Charlie participated in a youth jazz group. After this period, he graduated in music production and engineering at Berklee College of Music in 2013.

Currently, the singer is a major hitmaker within the industry – and considered one of the most consistent. In total, Puth has accumulated eight multi-platinum singles, four Grammy Award nominations, three Billboard Music Awards, a Critic's Choice Award and a Golden Globe nomination.

Recently, Charlie Puth released his long-awaited third studio album, “CHARLIE”, which featured hit singles such as “Left and Right [feat. Jung Kook do BTS]”, “That's Hilarious” and “Light Switch”, and surpassed 1 billion global streams.
