O Rock in Rio It takes place next year and is already full of news. The 2025 edition will be even more special, as it celebrates 40 years of the festival created by Roberto Medina.
This Friday (24), the festival’s official page released images of the new structure of Palco Mundo – which houses the event’s main attractions. With 830 square meters, the public will also have 6 LED screens to follow the shows during the 7 days of the event.

The one that will also come in a larger size will be the Sunset Stage. For the first time, the stage will have the same power as the main stage. However, the organization has not yet released more information or even the design.
And even though it will only be in September 2024, the first party dedicated to the festival will be at New Year’s Eve . According to the Rock in Rio organizers, Copacabana beach will be the stage for a great tribute including a drone show, orchestra presentations and much more.
In addition, Rock in Rio 2024 is also preparing an interactive and immersive exhibition telling about its history with the publication of a book and a new musical that will feature the event and the wonderful city as a narrative. According to the organization, the project will come to life inside and outside Cidade do Rock in the next edition of the festival.

Other names in the line-up or the division of artists per day have not yet been announced, but the Rock in Rio Card – which guarantees entry to a day of the festival that is not pre-established – goes on sale on December 7th .
