Roberto Bolle, in Salento as a witness to the wedding of his friends who were the first dancers of La Scala

No page boy with wedding rings or bridesmaids: the etoile of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan crossed the aisle to say yes to her future husband surrounded by little ballerinas in tutus. On the other hand, hers is not a common marriage: the étoile Nicoletta Manni married her colleague and principal dancer Timofej Andrijashenko in Salento. And with an exceptional witness, Roberto Bolle.

Friends in life, very close on stage, the two have been engaged for a yearwhen the 28-year-old Latvian dancer proposed to her at the Verona Arena on July 20, 2022 after the show Roberto Bolle and Friendsin front of thousands of enthusiastic fans.

From Instagram stories we can see smiles and many, many dances, from traditional ones such as pizzica and tango. After saying yes in the basilica of Santa Caterina D’Alessandria in Galatina, in the province of Lecce, the country of origin of the 31-year-old star, the guests went to celebrate in a sixteenth-century estate just outside the city, the Masseria di San Lorenzo.

Before saying yes, Roberto Bolle dedicated a post to the future spouses with the inscription: “The big day has arrived! Today these two wonderful friends of mine are getting married».

The newly weds are part of the Bolle Tour 2023, with the next stop at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan from 28 to 30 October for Roberto Bolle and Friends. At the Teatro Regio in Turin it arrives from 4 to 7 January 2024.

Roberto Bolle also has a younger brother, Paolo, while his sister Emanuela is an international dance star. He continues to represent excellence on pointe worldwide, as well as being an Italian pride.

In the Vanity Fair digital cover interview last December, he opened his heart, usually always very reserved about his privacy, saying: «Everyone does their part. I do many parts in my life to guide and inspire and give values. I feel good about myself. No need to tell about my personal sphere. I may not be perfect, but I always try to do my best.” There are two years left before the fateful 50 but age weighs on him only on and off: «Sometimes I don’t want to see myself but the mirror in front of me is relentless, tells you the flaws, what you have to work on.
