The Municipal Secretary of Education of Rio de Janeiro decided to remove directors for allowing the presentation of an independent group with alleged sexual connotation in four public schools.
A video that circulates on social networks, and became known as “horse pervert”, shows a woman with a horse mask.
The presentation, in a schoolyard, begins with her simulating a gallop on a man’s back. Afterwards, the woman dances and interacts with the children to the sound of music.

“Woman comes, comes galloping, the horse is calling, look at the ‘horses’ coming back, look at the ‘horses’ coming back, look at the ‘horses’ in heat, wild horse. The horse got mad, the horse is in front, the horse is on the side, the horse got mad. It gallops forward, gallops to the side, it goes forward, it takes, it takes, it goes backwards, it takes, it takes”, says the lyrics of the song.
An inquiry was opened to find out why the show, announced as free classification, took content considered inappropriate by the portfolio for students, children, from four schools: CIEP Luiz Carlos Prestes, CIEP Gustavo Capanema, Marechal Estevão Leite de Carvalho Municipal School and Escola Municipal Rivadavia Correia.
The group’s performances were banned on network units.
According to the Municipal Secretary of Education, Renan Ferreirinha, “it is unacceptable for this type of presentation to be made for children and situations like this are not tolerated by the administration of Mayor Eduardo Paes”.

“I received this absurd video here and I wanted to understand what goes on in the head of someone who believes that this is something that can be presented to children. I reacted like any sane person who saw this recording, with a lot of indignation and repudiation. Children are at school to study, to learn, to develop skills”, said the mayor in a video posted on social networks.
Paes also said that he will make it difficult to obtain authorizations for independent groups to perform in schools.
“We are going to tighten the control over any presentation, activity or lectures made in the city’s municipal schools, mainly by these independent groups so that this does not happen again. I do not accept that we waste time and expose children to this type of content that is not possible for anyone to consider suitable for a school environment”, concluded the mayor.
