A call girl was arrested last Friday night (12) in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, suspected of using the “good night, Cinderella” scam on tourists.
After intelligence work, police officers from the Special Tourism Support Police Station (Deat) went, around 11pm, to the entrance of the Pavão Pavãozinho community, where they arrested Carine Lemos Martins Sucupira for the crime of robbery. There was an open arrest warrant against her.
According to the specialist's investigations, on February 5, 2023, an Italian tourist was drugged by Carine in the scam known as “good night, Cinderella”.
According to the police, after doping the victim, Carine stole three cell phones, personal documents, bank cards, a computer and perfume. She has eight criminal records in various police stations in Rio de Janeiro, five of which are from Deat.
Among the foreign victims are three Americans, an Italian and a German, as well as three Brazilians.
“Carine deceived several tourists. Counting as the author of several crimes of robbery, theft and embezzlement, being known for using the 'good night, Cinderella' modality, in which the victim is drugged so that they have no means of reacting to the crime”, says the DEAT record.
Among the assets stolen are values in different currencies, several cell phones, computers and a tablet, in addition to the theft of cryptocurrencies, credit cards and bank transactions from the victims' accounts.
