THE Rio 2025 book Biennial released new confirmed authors for the event schedule.
Among them are the Nigerian writer CHIMAMANDA NGOZI ADICHIE the Canadian Brynne Weaver and the Brazilian Aline Bei, Ray Tavares and Taís Araujo .
THE Rio 2025 Book Biennial takes place from 13 to 22 June at Riocentro in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. This year’s edition bets on a new format, with a literary amusement park, spot wheel and other immersive attractions. Tickets are already on sale on the website.
Chimamanda comes to Brazil amid the promotion of his new book, “The Dream Contagem”, released here by Companhia das Letras. The bestseller author returned to the novel genre more than a decade after the release of “Americana” (2014) to explore the story about four women and their loves, longing and desires.
Already Brynne Weaver, author of the trilogy “Dying of Love”, takes the coming to launch the third and last book of the saga, “Sickle and Sparrow”, at the event.
The new names join the list of guests already confirmed earlier.
Among international presences are the American novels Young Adults Alexene Lighthouse Follmuth and Lynn Painter, the British prestigious for his Cara Hunter Police novels, and the American Master Writer GT Karber.
Also present at the event will be attended by national weight names, such as psychoanalyst and teacher Ana Suy, author of the phenomenon “We Mira in Love and get it right in solitude”, and the bestseller Carina Rissi, author of the “Lost” books series. In addition to Raphael Montes, author of “Secret Dinner” and screenwriter of the audiovisual productions “Good Morning Veronica” and the soap opera “Beauty Fatal”; The Best Seller Vitor Martins, with works aimed at young public and recognized by LGBTQIA+representativeness; and writer and teacher Jeferson Tenório, author of “The Avesso of the Skin” and “Where they come.”
