Sociologist Miriam Abramovay said, in an interview with CNN this Monday (19), that repressive measures will not prevent attacks on schools, like the one that occurred in Cambé, in northern Paraná, this morning.
“A policy is needed, and we are in a very complicated moment because many states and municipalities are proposing police inside schools and repressive measures. Police inside the school won’t solve anything. It is not with repressive but preventive measures that we will be able to prevent these attacks”, pointed out Abramovay.
For manager Bruno Langeani, manager of Instituto Sou da Paz, who also participated in the interview, “we are clearly on a growth trend [de ataques nas escolas]”.
“In more than half of the shooting attacks, which produce three times as many victims, the weapons were obtained at home”, points out the expert.
