The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has sent notifications of employment contracts today to staff working in environmental justice programs in the central and regional branches of the service, saying that their work is no longer aligned with the EPA mission. The letters of dismissal were sent to about 200 employees of the Environmental Justice and Civil Rights Office, who had been on holiday in February. They had then returned to their positions pending the decisions of justice.
