Recently, the electric vehicle market has begun to be actively filled with SUVs of various shapes and formats – there is probably a demand if large manufacturers are so serious about this issue. For example, Renault today, October 18, officially presented to the world its new project called 4EVER Trophy, which is a conditional reincarnation of the Renault 4 SUV, created for racing in the desert as part of the 4L Trophy tournament. Probably, the company is already preparing to transfer the competition to all-electric vehicles, so in honor of this, a fresh project of an electric car was presented.
Yes, it’s worth immediately clarifying that at the moment the Renault 4EVER Trophy is just a prototype, not a serial vehicle. The manufacturer simply decided to show what awaits fans of the brand in the future, while demonstrating the next generation body design. Externally, the vehicle looks quite rough and practical – there are no extra decorative elements, bright elements or stylish solutions that are actually completely unnecessary for an SUV. It’s a rugged vehicle that’s ready to take on sand, mud, woods, fields, and off-road.

Separately, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the Renault 4EVER Trophy prototype has a spare tire on the roof, which is extremely important given the scenarios in which this car will be operated. But if the user does not need this wheel or is willing to place it in the luggage compartment, then it will be easy to place mounts on the roof for additional luggage racks, bicycles, tents or any equipment. On the rear window, there is a panel with a shovel and a special platform with increased grip – this allows you to pull out the car if one or more wheels are slipping in sand, snow or mud.

Unfortunately, there is still no information about the technical characteristics of the car – the manufacturer simply stated that the ground clearance of the SUV will be 20 centimeters with wheels of 19 diameters and strong underbody protection (batteries are located there). So far, there is no data on the range of travel on a single charge, as well as on the power of the power plants. However, this is only a prototype, which can go into mass production in five years, so the lack of exact characteristics is quite expected.
