With the arrival of the last chapters of “Reborn” some changes in the story became even more noticeable. Written in 1993 by Benedito Ruy Barbosa, the remake was adapted by Bruno Luperi, the writer’s grandson.
Even though he maintained the essence of the characters, the author in the new version made the decision to include new plots, which significantly changed the outcome of some characters.
Check out the biggest differences between the endings of the original and the remake of “Renascer”:
Murder of Egidio
Even though Mariana (Theresa Fonseca) was responsible for planning the villain’s death, just like in the first version, the character had the help of a different person: Damian (Shaman).
The way they took the farmer’s life also changed. In the remake, Egidio (Vladimir Brichta) was lured into an ambush and ended up dying by hanging.
In 1993, Mariana (Adriana Esteves) had the help of Zinho (Cosme dos Santos). Together, the two waited for the right moment to fire an accurate shot that killed Theodore (Herson Capri).
Tiao Galinha’s outcome
Thanks to Bruno Luperi, Tiao Chicken (Irandhir Santos) got a more optimistic ending. In this version, the character survived many injustices, was arrested twice, robbed, assaulted, but will find a happy ending.
In the first version, as soon as Tião (Osmar Prado) was arrested, accused of attempting to kill Teodoro, the character committed suicide in prison, leaving only a farewell note.
Change in romantic couples
Romantic couples were the most affected by the remake. Even though John Peter (Juan Paiva) and Sandra (Giullia Buscacio) have stayed together, Joseph Innocent (Marcos Palmeira) gained a new love, Aurora (Malu Mader) but he put an end to it by preferring to be alone.
Jose Bento (Marcello Melo Jr.) will end with Kika (Juliane Araújo), his ex-wife. Already Rita (Mell Muzzillo) will be with Eriberto (Pedro Neschilling). Joana (Alice Carvalho) will continue with Tião Galinha.
In the original version, José Inocêncio (Antonio Fagundes) managed to reconcile with Mariana (Adriana Esteves) before he died.
José Bento (Tarcísio Filho) got Ritinha (Isabel Fillardis) pregnant and had a hard time accepting responsibility for the child. Only in the last chapters did he take responsibility and marry the girl.
Joana (Tereza Seiblitz) ended up with Father Lívio (Jackson Costa), who abandoned his cassock to be in a relationship with the character.
Teak Permanence
Without much prominence in the final stretch, Teak (Lívia Silva) seems to have found a happy ending with José Inocêncio’s family. While raising Cacau and starting a shy relationship with Pitoco (Juan Queiroz).
In the 1993 version, Teca (Paloma Duarte) preferred to flee the farm with Pitoco (Oberdan Júnior), abandoning her son so that Buba (Maria Luisa Mendonça) created.
Lilith’s Plot
While the character didn’t even exist in the first version, Lilith (Lucy Alves) brought an unprecedented plot to the story. Accordion player found by Rachid (Almir Sater), she revealed herself to be the daughter of Black-faced Curassow (Juliana Paes).
In the last chapters, the character decided to search for the truth about her past, admitting to Norberto (Matheus Nachtergaele) her blood relationship and soon being welcomed by the merchant.
