“Renascer” actress responds to transphobic attacks: “Counteract hate with love”

The actress Gabriela Loran 30, which interprets the Maitê character in the remake of the soap opera “Reborn” responded on social media this Sunday (2) to the transphobic attacks he received throughout the week for sharing stages of the sex reassignment surgery which he did four months ago.

“Do you really think I would stay at home crying? No my love! I’m at the biggest LGBT+ Parade in Latin America and I’m going to counter this hatred with love,” she said in a video published on Instagram.

Gabriela gave the speech on Avenida Paulista this Sunday morning, when the 28th São Paulo LGBT+ Pride Parade took place.

She further explained that the publication was directed at people who discriminated against her throughout the week.

“This video is for you who said I would never be a real woman, this video is for you who use the name of God to justify your own prejudices, this video is for you who attacked me [durante] spent a whole week on the internet after seeing me make a dream come true and he didn’t even bother to know my story.”

Gabriela underwent sexual reassignment surgery in Thailand in January this year and has been sharing details of the process on social media. She suffered transphobic attacks from some internet users after showing the first pee she made after the procedure, in a video in which she appears sitting on a toilet.

After the attacks, she had also received support from famous artists such as Preta Gil and Liniker. She also revealed how much it cost to carry out the medical operation outside Brazil.
