Deel, which provides a platform for remote work and receive payments, has added support for payments in the USDC stablecoin, as well as the Dash and Solana cryptocurrencies.
Previously, the platform supported the payment of salaries in BTC, ETH and XRP. Now Deel users will have a choice of six cryptocurrencies. To work with cryptocurrency payments, users need to have an account on the Coinbase exchange.
Cryptocurrencies are giving Deel customers the ability to get their paychecks faster and easier, according to a blog post from the company. At the same time, Coinbase charges a commission of 1.5%. In addition, the Deel service itself takes 1% when calculating USDC, and when making payments to Solana, the commission will be another 1.5%.
Deel co-founder and CEO Alex Bouaziz said there are quite a few cryptocurrency companies among the platform’s clients, including Coinbase, Rarible, OpenSea, and BlockFi.
“Cryptocurrency companies are by definition decentralized, employing employees all over the world. Whichever cryptocurrency company you name, most likely it uses Deel, ”he said.
Recall that in mid-November, the Australian baseball club Perth Heat turned to the services of OpenNode to implement a corporate payment system in Bitcoin.
