Reginaldo Faria recalls the public reaction after iconic scene of “Vale Tudo”

The actor Reginaldo Faria 87, revealed behind the scenes of one of the scenes that marked the last chapter of the original version of “VALUE EVERYTHING” . Interpreting Marco Aurélio, the artist gave a “banana” to Brazil, mocking from the country during his escape alongside Leila (Cássia Kis).

“Banana chases me to this day!” Said the actor in an interview with the “Rio Expedição” program last Saturday (26). Reginaldo Faria said she was surprised by the reaction of the public after the gesture in the outcome of the plot.

“Marco Aurélio was an ordinary character within that corrupt environment. To a big surprise, when I went out the streets, people applauded me and asked me an autograph. At that time, I had no selfie, but I had the autograph,” he said.

The actor, who completes 60 years of career in 2025, stressed that he understood why people identified with the scene.

“I began to understand that these people were applauding that buddy who gave a banana for a totally corrupt political process,” he said.

In the remake of “Vale Tudo”, Marco Aurélio’s character is played by Alexandre Nero.
