So, Realme has unveiled its MagDart magnetic wireless charger and a variety of devices and accessories endowed with the corresponding technology.

The presentation showed the Realme Flash smartphone, which will be the first to receive support for MagDart, but the device was not fully announced, concentrating only on charging.
Let’s start directly with the chargers. The base is a small 15-watt charger, very similar to Apple’s MagSafe. But Realme drew attention to the fact that its charging is thinner, slightly larger and much faster. While both are nominally rated at 15W, Apple’s charging is actually very slow. Tests indicate 3-4 hours required to charge the iPhone 12 (depending on the model), while MagDart can handle it in 90 minutes with a much larger smartphone battery (4500 mAh).

A 50-watt charger can do it in less than an hour. Realme says this is the fastest magnetic wireless charger on the market, but doesn’t remind you that apart from MagDart and MagSafe, there is nothing on the market.

Another device with MagDart is an unusual stand. In fact, this is a two-in-one device. In the desktop version, this is just a wireless charger in which the smartphone can be placed almost vertically. However, the part that the smartphone rests on is a removable portable battery that you can take with you. Its capacity is not indicated, but the device itself is small.

Realme also showed MagDart Beauty Light – something like a nozzle or case for a smartphone with a built-in flash (60 LEDs). The flash can be used for both the main and the front camera, and the case is powered by the smartphone thanks to MagDart.

And finally, Realme showed a magnetic wallet MagDart Wallet and a case for the flagship smartphone Realme GT. The smartphone itself does not support MagDart, but the case solves this problem.
In general, Realme said that it plans to expand the MagDart ecosystem and later release other products that support such charging. At the same time, almost the most important thing was said at the very beginning of the event, even before the show of new products. A company spokesman said that the products that will be on display at the presentation will not hit the market until 2022. Whether this concerns the Realme Flash smartphone is unclear, but the chargers and accessories, apparently, will really be released only next year.
