Most listened to artist in Spain on Spotify in 2023, Quevedo presented his new hit this Wednesday (30) and celebrated his return to the music scene after months away.
In less than 24 hours, the single’s music video “Hard” which is available on digital platforms, already has more than 700 thousand views on YouTube.
The launch announcement took place on Tuesday (29), at a surprise show performed by Quevedo in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands – an archipelago in Spain off the coast of Africa where the singer feels most at home.
“Tomorrow I’m going to release a song”, the singer had told the Canarian public, who filled the Santa Ana square, one of the island’s postcards.
This Wednesday (30), minutes before the release of the hit, Quevedo participated in a live on Instagram and said that, in the time he was away from the stage, he took several trips and said he was happy to return.
Despite speculation, “Duro” is not the song that the Spanish artist previewed at the end of September in a Madrid nightclub. This has not yet been officially presented.
The last single by Quevedo, who lived in Brazil as a child, was “La Última”, which came out in January of this year. In the song, he reflected on his life and meteoric rise in his career.
After this, he left social media for good. A brief return took place at the end of June, at the Big Sound festival, in Valencia, Spain. At the time, Quevedo’s new “appearance” caught attention on social media.
This year, Quevedo who is just 22 years old, was included in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Spain list. In an interview with the magazine, he spoke about the period of career break and reinforced the importance of “enjoying the path and the process of things”.
“Success is not always about reaching the top, but about achieving happiness,” said the artist.

New album?

On social media, Quevedo fans speculate that “Duro” is part of a new project, which apparently will be titled “Buenas Noches”.
According to CNN sources linked to the artist, a second album by the singer of “Columbia” and “Punto G” should be released by the end of this year.
