The coffin with the body of Queen Elizabeth II was courted, on the morning of this Wednesday (14), from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall – the parliament of the United Kingdom. It will be exposed to the public until Monday (19).

On September 19, the state funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey. Afterwards, the coffin will be transported to St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where the burial will take place.

Several members of the royal family walked behind Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin during the procession. Among them, the Queen’s three children: King Charles III, Prince Andrew and Princess Anne alongside her husband, Vice Admiral Tim Laurence, and son, Peter Phillips; the grandchildren: Prince William and Prince Harry; the Queen’s cousin, the Duke of Gloucester, and the Earl of Snowdon, son of the Queen’s late sister Princess Margaret.

The queen’s coffin was courted in a carriage, covered with the Royal Standard and carried the Imperial State Crown on a velvet cushion, a wreath of flowers, white roses and a selection of foliage.
