THE Qatar World Cup is undoubtedly the most anticipated sporting event of the year. It was founded in the mid-18th century, destroyed in 1811 and abandoned in 1900. The site includes the fortified city, a port, a sea channel, two walls, Fort Murarir and Zubara. To get there it is necessary to drive for approximately one hour from Doha.
