The mysteries surrounding space exploration have aroused human curiosity for a long time. Is there life outside Earth? Where did the Universe come from? These are some questions that, although science has developed, remain unanswered.
Faced with these enigmas, photos taken by research equipment on Mars often intrigue Internet users. This is the case of an image captured by NASA’s Curiosity rover, which shows a rock similar to a pyramid.
In addition to the “pyramid”, records of supposed animals, a portal and even a finger have already caught people’s attention. See images above.
Although the clicks are curious, to date, there is no proof of the existence of life on the red planet — currently or at any other time in the history of the Universe.
In fact, it is likely that “pareidolia” explains the phenomenon.
Do you know when a cloud appears to be shaped like an animal or even a human face? It is pareidolia, a psychological phenomenon generated by vague or random stimuli that results in the illusory identification of recognizable meanings or patterns in inanimate objects.
In the case of Mars, the associations occur with the rocks that make up the Martian soil.
