Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the senior governors of the Western Kursk District of Russia on the end of Ukrainian forces expulsion, according to today’s broadcasting Russian news agencies citing the Kremlin. “Putin congratulated them for the victory and thanked them for their heroic work,” the news agencies said, citing Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. President Volodimir Zelenski today opposed Moscow’s yesterday’s announcement, stating that the Ukrainian army continues its operations in this border region. “Our forces continue their defensive operations in the designated zones of (Russian) regions of Kursk and Belgorod,” he said on social media.
