Hundreds of protesters gathered in New York City on Saturday (19) to protest against the government of President Donald Trump. They marched the streets of Manhattan holding posters and shaking the United States flags.
A crowd, in the city’s public library, shouted: “Without fear, without hatred, without actions by the immigration police in our state.”
Manifestations were also held in Chicago, Washington and dozens of other places. This was the second day of protests throughout the United States since Trump took office.
Since his inauguration in January, the president and her billionaire ally, Elon Musk, have dismissed more than 200,000 employees. The government has also detained dozens of foreign students and threatened to interrupt federal funding to universities because of diversity, equity and inclusion programs, climate initiatives and pro-Palestinian protests. Human rights groups condemned these policies.
