On the occasion of the opening of the 86th International Exhibition of Thessaloniki, New Democracy will hold a series of events in the prefectures of Western, Central and Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, with the aim of continuing the dialogue that began before the 14th Regular Congress of the party and highlighting the project of the government in every sector.
According to the announcement of the press office of the ND “New Democracy is consistently next to every citizen, and at the forefront of the efforts of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the government for the progress of the country”.
Here is the detailed program of events:
Friday September 2, 18:30 – Thessaloniki, 2nd Gymnasium of Oreokastro
Topic: “Local Self-Government: A driver of development for the country and its citizens”
The main speakers will be the Minister of the Interior Makis Voridis, the Deputy Minister of the Interior Stelios Petsas, the secretary of the political committee of the New Democracy Pavlos Marinakis, the general secretary of the Interior & Organization Michalis Stavrianoudakis and the deputy regional governor of Central Macedonia, responsible for matters of public health and social solidarity Melina-Maria Dermentzopoulou.
The coordinator of the event will be the organizing secretary of local self-government and crisis management ND Menios Koromilas.
The event is organized by the local government & crisis management secretariat.
Monday September 5, 19:00 – Alexandroupoli, Grecotel Astir Egnatia Hotel
Topic: “Strong Greece in the new international environment”
The keynote speakers will be the former Commissioner for Immigration, Internal Affairs and Citizenship, Dimitris Avramopoulos, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for diaspora Hellenism, Andreas Katsaniotis.
The coordinator of the event will be the member of parliament of Serres and secretary of international relations and European union of the ND Tasos Hatzivasileiou.
The event is co-organized by the Secretariat of International Relations & European Union and the Secretariat of the Greek Diaspora of the SW.
Tuesday, September 6, 19:00 – Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki City Hall, Municipal Council Hall
Topic: “The contribution of scientific bodies to the reform work and the treatment of chronic pathologies”
The keynote speakers will be Finance Minister Christos Staikouras and Justice Minister Costas Tsiaras. The event, which will be coordinated by the secretary of scientific bodies ND Simos Psomiadis, will be attended by representatives of the city’s scientific associations, namely the president of the Thessaloniki Bar Association Dimitris Finokaliotis, the president of the Economic Chamber of Central Macedonia Vassilis Georgiadis, the president of TEE/TKM Giorgos Tsakoumis and the president of the Medical Association of Thessaloniki, Nikos Nitsas.

Thursday September 8, 19:00 – Thessaloniki, Karapantsio Cultural Center of Ampelokipi
Topic: “Projects that change the image of Macedonia”
The keynote speakers will be the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Kostas Karamanlis, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Giorgos Karagiannis and the Deputy Regional Governor for Infrastructure and Networks Paris Billias.
The coordinator of the event will be the secretary of strategic planning and communication Vassilis Feygas.

Topic: “Strengthening the Primary Sector and its transition to the digital age”

The keynote speaker will be the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Kostis Hatzidakis.
