Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF) rose 2.8% in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the second quarter of 2022. The data was released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), which announced this Thursday (1st) the results of the Quarterly National Accounts.
GFCF is seen by economists as an indicator of productive investments in the economy.
Compared to the third quarter of 2021, GFCF increased by 5%.
According to the institute, the investment rate (GFCF/GDP) for the third quarter of 2022 was 19.6%.
savings rate
According to the IBGE, the savings rate stood at 16.2% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2022. This savings rate is lower than the 17.2% obtained in the third quarter of 2021.
The investment rate was 19.6% in the period, according to the IBGE. This is a slight increase in relation to the investment rate registered in the same period of the previous year, of 19.4%.
