Procon lists smartphones compatible with 5G from R$ 1,400; Look

The arrival of 5G technology in the country has moved the telephony market. According to a survey carried out by Procon-SP released this Monday (12), 84 devices are already compatible with the fifth generation of the mobile internet network, from brands such as Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Xiaomi, ASUS, among others.

The list includes devices approved by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), including some that are not yet marketed — officially — in Brazil. An example of this is the model TC15 Touch Computer, by Zebra, launched in the international market a month ago.

For those who want to change their phone in order to be compatible with the new technology, which promises from faster connection speeds to wider network coverage, Procon warns: before purchasing a new device, it is worth checking the stamped Anatel approval code on the chassis or in the product manual.

The seal indicates approval in safety tests and guarantee of a minimum quality standard.

The agency also recommends that users consult telephone operators about the product’s compatibility with the network and the technology’s coverage area — some regions of the country, for example, still do not have an operating 5G signal. Anatel’s forecast is that all capitals in the country will have the band released for use until November 27.

The list of compatible devices can be seen in full. in this link. Prices range from R$1,400 to R$11,500, with the Xiaomi Poco M3 on the first end and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold on the other end.
