The private credit market in Brazil has been on the rise, with emissions of R $ 43 billion in January 2025, according to the first bulletin released in the year by Anbima (Brazilian Association of Financial and Capital Markets Entities).
By 2024, the total volume of capital market emissions was R $ 783 billion, of which R $ 261 billion came from private credit, including debentures, FIDCs and other financial instruments. This performance represents a growth of 66.7% over the previous year.
The considerable advance, added to expressive capture in early 2025, reveals the growing relevance of the capital market for business funding in Brazil, even though private credit represents a lower slice compared to more mature markets, such as the United States, for example. Here, there is still a great dependence on bank intermediaries.
Still, according to Embima estimates, private credit should remain prominent, with the class driven by the demand for funds by private securities.
Capital Galapagos accelerates this evolution
Among the factors that contribute to this performance is the Capital Galapagosa financial company that plays a key role in positioning itself as an interconnected financial ecosystem that eliminates intermediates and makes credit capture more efficient.
“Our goal is to directly connect companies and investors, creating more advantageous and assertive opportunities for everyone involved,” says Carlos Fonseca, CEO of Galapagos Capital.
By removing layers from financial intermediaries, the institution allows capital to reach credit borrowers faster, reducing costs and providing greater return to investors. Without the limitations of traditional banking processes, the company enables a more efficient and transparent capital allocation. A performance that prioritizes disintegration, customization of solutions, agility and transparency in operations to offer the best experience to its customers.
“In traditional banks, the flow follows a long and fragmented path. The final investor receives only the remnant of the operation, with conditions already deteriorated by the intermediaries. In Galapagos, the path is different: we eliminate these barriers and deliver direct access to the best investment, without price and rate distortions,” explains Fonseca.
