Princess Anne of England returned to official engagements on Friday (12), almost three weeks after undergoing medical treatment. The member of the royal family suffered a concussion due to a head injury believed to have been caused by a horse.
Anne, 73, the younger sister of King Charles III and only child of the late Queen Elizabeth II, spent five nights in hospital after suffering what Buckingham Palace said was a minor head injury on June 23.
This forced her to postpone her planned engagements, including a trip to Canada.
However, this Friday (12), the princess returned to activities, participating in the National Championship of the Riding Association for People with Disabilities, held in the west of England.
Anne, a former Olympic equestrian, has been a patron of the charity for more than five decades and president since 1986. She suffered the head injury while walking in the grounds of the Gatcombe Park estate, where her home is located.
The concussion is believed to have been caused by the impact of a horse’s head or hooves, although a royal source said she could not remember what happened.
