Prince William was considered a “safe haven” for his wife, Kate Middleton, amid the princess’ hospitalization, who is recovering from abdominal surgery.
The procedure that was already planned was carried out this Wednesday (17) at The London Clinic, located in Marylebone, in the heart of London. Furthermore, the princess is expected to remain hospitalized for up to two weeks.
Ahead of the surgery, royal expert Phil Dampier shared his observations with British newspaper The Sun: “William will be Kate's rock while she is in hospital, but other members of the royal family will also be offering their love and support. . At home, William will be taking care of his children, counting, of course, on the assistance of the children's Spanish nanny, Maria Borrallo, who has always been present in the family's life. Everyone loves her and is in good hands.”
It was also reported that William will take on the responsibility of taking the children to school in rural Berkshire.
Phil also highlighted the supportive role played by Carole Middleton, Kate's mother: “Carole is also very close to her grandchildren, especially George. She will reassure the children that their mother is safe and well cared for.”
It is also worth mentioning that according to the Daily Mail, William “will not fulfill official commitments while his wife is in hospital”, adding that royal advisors will provide an updated schedule soon.
