A woman who says she was a victim of the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein claimed that Britain's Prince Andrew placed his hand on her breast at Epstein's Manhattan home in 2001, according to court documents from a civil case released Wednesday ( 3).
The affair, which was previously reported and Andrew denied, is among the details revealed in a series of previously redacted documents.
Epstein socialized with Wall Street figures, royalty and celebrities before pleading guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor in 2008. He committed suicide in 2019 at age 66 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.
Dozens of women have accused Epstein of forcing them to have sex with him and his guests on his private island in the Caribbean and at homes he owned in New York, Florida and New Mexico.
The names of more than 150 people named in a lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's main accusers, were kept under seal for years until a US federal judge ruled last month that there was no legal justification for keeping them. in secret.
In testimony, Giuffre said she had sex with several prominent politicians and financial leaders, including billionaire American businessman Tom Pritzker.
Pritzker did not immediately respond to a request for comment. She did not say whether she was underage at the time or whether the sex was not consensual.
Giuffre's accusation against Pritzker appears to have not been previously reported.
In her testimony, she also said she had sex with other prominent figures who previously denied her allegations, including hedge fund owner Glenn Dubin, former U.S. Senator George Mitchell and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.
In another statement, Johanna Sjoberg, who also accuses Epstein, highlighted that Prince Andrew placed his hand on her chest to pose for a photo with the billionaire, Giuffre and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's ex-girlfriend.
Sjoberg pointed out that the photo also included a doll that said “Prince Andrew.”
Andrew lost most of his royal titles due to his association with Epstein. He settled a civil suit with Giuffre last year for an undisclosed sum and denied any wrongdoing. He could not be reached for comment.
The list stems from a defamation lawsuit Giuffre filed against Maxwell.
Maxwell, daughter of British media mogul Robert Maxwell, is serving a 20-year prison sentence for recruiting underage girls for Epstein. She is appealing her conviction.
Giuffre accused Maxwell of recruiting her when she was underage to abuse Epstein.
US judge Loretta Preska, who is overseeing the case, ruled that some names would remain confidential, including those of people who were minors when Epstein abused them.
