After the death of Pope Francis, the College of Cardinals of the Catholic Church will hold the Conclave to choose the next Holy Father.
The dean of the college, Reverend Giovanni Battista, sent to the cardinals on Monday (21) the call to the college. According to the document, the group’s first meeting will be at 9am (local time) on Tuesday (22).

As was officially announced, his holiness Pope Francis entered eternal life this morning at 7:45 am.
According to no. 19 of the Apostolic Constitution Universo Dominici Gregis, formally summoned the cardinal voters for the general congregations of the Cardinal College, scheduled during the apostolic See and in preparation for the conclave.
The first meeting will take place tomorrow morning at 9 am at the Synodal Hall.
I am cordially invited the cardinals over 80 years old to participate in these general preparatory congregations, although – as stated in n. 7 of the aforementioned Apostolic Constitution – are free to participate or not.

Francisco, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, assumed the title of Pope in March 2013. He marked the history of the Catholic Church as the first Latin American Pope and the first Jesuit to occupy the position.
