Pope Francis’ Body is veiled in the Basilica of St. Peter

The procession that takes the body of Pope Francis of the Chapel of Santa Marta residence arrived in the Basilica of St. Peter this Wednesday (23), where the coffin will be veiled and will receive visits from the public until Friday (25).

At the site, Vatican Camerlengo, Kevin Farrell, holds a celebration for the pontiff, before opening for public visitation, scheduled to start at 6am (Brasília time).

The cardinals and clerics organized themselves in line and revealed in front of the coffin.

Francisco’s body can be visited by the public until Friday (25):

  • Wednesday (23) – 6am to 7pm – Brasilia time
  • Thursday (24) – 2h to 19h – Brasilia time
  • Friday (25) – 2h to 14h – Brasília time
