Polish has cell phone stolen by duo in RJ; Suspects are arrested

One Polish tourist and another from São Paulo were victims of two motorcyclists who practiced cellular thefts on the edge of the south of Rio de Janeiro. The case occurred in Ipanema.

According to the Rio de Janeiro Secretariat of Government, after stealing the group, the criminals hid one of the devices in a flowerbed, between the streets Vinícius de Moraes and Alberto de Campos, and continued committing crimes in the neighborhood.

The agents set up a siege near where the cell phone had been hidden. When the suspects returned, they were quickly intercepted.

In English, the Polish tourist thanked the police: “Thank you very much for everything. You are good men” she said. With the pair, a second stolen cell phone was found, belonging to a São Paulo tourist.

The two suspects were referred to the 14th Police Station, where they remained arrested. The two bikes used in the crimes were seized, and the cell phones, returned to the victims.
