The Rio de Janeiro police traced a probable trajectory followed by the projectile that, last Sunday (29), hit a 58-year-old woman who was sunbathing in a condominium in Barra da Tijuca. She was grazed by a bullet and has already been released from the hospital.
According to the investigation, the shot came from a community in Gardênia Azul.
According to the Civil Police, agents went to the location and collected a new projectile. The corporation says that “a preliminary analysis indicated the likely point of origin of the shooting”. Nearby, the Chico City community is located, one of those that make up the Gardênia Azul neighborhood and which is experiencing a war between drug traffickers and militiamen.
The police stated that they are continuing investigations to confirm the trajectory of the bullet, in addition to discovering who was responsible for the shooting. Officers are still awaiting the victim’s statement.
