Police say it has recovered Monet’s work in operation against theft of houses

An operation against theft, theft and receiving objects of invaded homes recovered a work of art by Claude Monet, renowned impressionist artist of France, according to the São Paulo Civil Police.

The picture was recovered in Jundiaí, interior of the state, during the second day of the offensive, held on Thursday (24).

14 search and seizure warrants were served, two in the city of São Paulo, two in Jundiaí, five in Campinas, one in Itatiba and four in Piracicaba. The targets were eight receivers. Four visited places functioned as jewelry trades.

During the offensive were seized brands of brands, semi -compliant stones, luxury watches, jewelry, cell phones, notebooks and cash in kind.

Seizures in cities

São Paulo

A warrant was served in Vila Santa Catarina, in the south of the city of São Paulo. At the site there was the seizure of a cell phone and statements were collected from the investigated to continue the investigations.

In St. Bento Street, in the center, another address targeted by warrant, some blue stones were collected, other small blue -shaped stones, two pearls, emerald green stones. In addition, a necklace, parts of small red stones and two wristwatches were recovered.

The action continued on Sete de Abril Street, in a hotel where two investigated reside. In the suite, five wristwatches, two necklaces, 14 green stones, two phones and a Cartier clock certificate with a standard number were learned.

Jundiaí

Another warrant was directed to a person suspected of acquiring objects from one of the investigated. Among the gadgets are five clocks of various brands. The owner claimed that he acquired them legally and could prove the purchase in stores through the credit card.

In a commercial office located at Rua Antônio Lapa, in the Cambuí neighborhood, several jewelry, watches, old banknotes and collectors coins were seized.

In the house of another target, which was traveling, two wristwatches were located.

Itatiba

In Itatiba, a warrant was fulfilled at the house of a investigated one who is convicted of theft crime, including serving a sentence. The investigation pointed to involvement as an intermediary in the purchase and sale of watches. He would have purchased three watches from another receiver also targeted for a search and seizure warrant.

The team seized packaging and manual watches, as well as five clocks, from Breitling, H Stern and Chopard brands. They had no proof of origin. Research clocks were sold to an individual in Paraná. The person was identified.

The second day of the offensive was carried out by police officers from the State Department of Criminal Investigations) and the operation was coordinated by police officers from the 4th Dysccpat Police Station (Condominium Stoke Investigations).
