Police officers killed in plane crash are honored at Interpol, France

The two federal police officers killed in the crash of a Federal Police (PF) plane in Belo Horizonte (MG) this Wednesday afternoon (6) were honored at the headquarters of Interpol, the international police community, this Thursday (7) , in Lyon, France.

“Today in Lyon we honor the brave police officers from around the world who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Our hearts are especially with the brave Federal Police pilots tragically lost in yesterday's plane crash. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten”, declared delegate Valdecy Urquiza, international director of the PF and vice-president of Interpol for the Americas.

The ceremony had representatives from the countries that are part of Interpol, as well as flowers and speeches to the two police officers.

Guilherme de Almeida Irber, aged 44, and José de Moraes Neto, aged 50, died after the PF plane crashed at Pampulha airport (MG). The bodies were taken to Brasília, where the two are from and have family and passed through the Legal Medical Institute (IML).
