Five men suspected of joining an extermination group were the target of an operation triggered by the Bahia Public Prosecutor on Thursday (10). Eight search and seizure warrants were served in the municipalities of Planalto and Vitória da Conquista, where the investigated people reside, including three military police.
During the action, items such as firearms, ammunition, mobile phone devices, electronic devices and documents were seized.
According to investigations, the targets are involved in the murder of a man on November 13, 2022, in Vitória da Conquista (BA). According to the findings, the victim was arrested the day before on charges of attempted theft in a supermarket located in the city of Poções.
After the release, it was approached by a driver of a vehicle and later found dead on Avenida Bartolomeu de Gusmão, in Vitória da Conquista.
The warrants were sent by the Jury Court of the District of Vitória da Conquista. The seized material will be analyzed and referred to the competent bodies for the adoption of appropriate measures.
