Police investigates death of homeless man meters from UPA in SP

The São Paulo Civil Police investigates the death of an unidentified man, whose body was found at 8am on Monday (28), in Barão de Tietê Square, Belenzinho, neighborhood in the center of São Paulo.

The body was found meters away from the Mooca Emergency Care Unit (UPA). The neighborhood region is run by the Mooca Subprefecture. The complaint was made by Father Júlio Lancellotti on social networks: “Deadstained street brother after ‘service’ at UPA Mooca after 6 hours continues on the sidewalk,” he says.

A SAMU team was fired and confirmed the death, according to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP). The case was registered as suspected death by the 8th DP, which requested expertise from the scene and IML exams for the victim.
