Police conclude report and ask Thiago Schutz to keep distance from actress and singer

The Civil Police of São Paulo asked that the precautionary measures, determined by the Justice, that prevent the influencer Thiago da Cruz Schoba, known as Thiago Schutz, from approaching the actress and comedian Livia La Gatto and the singer Bruna Volpi, be maintained.

The minimum distance determined is 300 meters. In addition, he also cannot speak to the two either in person or through social networks.

If any of the requirements are not met, the influencer’s preventive detention may be enacted.

In the final report on the case, forwarded to the Court, delegate Nádia Ferreira Aluz Santos suggested that the precautionary measures be maintained, since they guarantee the safety of the two, and decided not to indict the influencer for threatening, on the grounds that it is of a crime of less offensive potential.

The case was referred to the Public Ministry, which will assess whether or not to denounce the coach.

The determination of removal occurred after the two made criminal representation against the influencer and requested protective measures.

Depositions

In the report, the delegate also reports the threats suffered by the actress and the singer.

Lívia La Gatto told the police that, on February 25, 2023, she suffered threats and persecution by Thiago da Cruz Schoba, via virtual means, after she published a video on her Instagram profile, “in which she satirized misogynistic statements reproduced by internet, in which she characterized herself as a man, using statements of this nature”.

At the time, Schutz replied: “You have 24 hours to remove your content about me. After that, process or bullet. You choose.”

The report also cited Bruna Volpi’s complaint.

“At the same date and similar time, [Volpi] received a message with the same content as Lívia (…). On 02/25/2023, at around 5 am, Bruna was surprised by a message from Thiago, sent through the profile @manualredpill, in which he wrote “stop talking shit” (sic), and several calls, disturbing her, in that Thiago demanded to talk to her”, says an excerpt.

In Schutz’s statement, he told the police that he is not a leader of any sexist or anti-women movement and that he said he never declared or preached hatred against any type of person.

He also denied being part of extremist groups.

About the threats, Schutz said that he usually uses slang and that he ended up using the word “bullet” in order to quickly resolve the issue. He said he doesn’t have weapons and denied that the idea was to threaten anyone.

When contacted, Lívia’s lawyer, Carolina Soares, said she was waiting for the report to be sent to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. A CNN awaits return from Thiago Schutz’s defense.

understand the case

Thiago Schutz went viral in recent weeks due to his comment on a podcast. In the video, he says he turned down a beer offered by a woman he was dating because he was already drinking Campari (a bitter alcoholic distillate).

“Women have this thing about trying to mold the guy, putting the guy under her. But it’s not out of malice. It’s like a test really, right?”, She said, in the recording.

Schutz has an Instagram profile with more than 300,000 followers called “Manual Red Pill”, in which he publishes the cuts of the programs in which he participates.

After the publication of the video, the comedian Livia La Gatto posted on her Instagram account, which has more than 200,000 followers, a video in which she imitates, in a satirical tone, men with hate speeches against women.

In the recording, she impersonates a bald man with a beard and a microphone, without referring directly to the influencer.

Similarly, Bruna Volpi, with 120,000 followers, also made a video about Schutz. The influencer’s contact with the two occurred after the publications.
