Police arrest two in operation against drug trafficking in DF

The Federal District Civil Police (PCDF) disrupted, on Monday (14), a criminal group specializing in drug trafficking and illegal trade in chemical inputs used to manufacture and tamper narcotics.

Operation Amazonian Rota fulfilled search and seizure warrants at three addresses in Recanto das Emas, an administrative region about 30 kilometers from Brasilia. In one of the properties, two suspects were arrested in the act, for direct involvement in the scheme.

It was also seized a large amount of chemicals such as taurine, tetracaine, phenocaine and caffeine, used by traffickers to increase volume and tamper with cocaine, and thus expand profits. Investigations point out that these inputs were purchased in other states and sent to the DF through e -commerce platforms.

Also seized drums and bags containing white pulverulent substance, possibly for drug refining; packaging with the indication “99%”, suggesting a high degree of purity of substances; precision scale and other objects for weighing and fractionation of narcotics; a restricted caliber semiautomatic firearm with a municized charger; and a luxury SUV vehicle, incompatible with the formal income declared by the investigated

Diligences located a facade company that was used to hide the origin and destination of marketed chemicals, as well as the profits made from the sale of drugs. The two prisoners must be responsible for association for trafficking and illegal possession of firearms. Added, penalties can reach 32 years in prison.
