The Military Police of São Paulo carried out, this Wednesday (11), the arrest of a man suspected of being responsible for the manufacture and distribution of weapons and ammunition in the states of São Paulo and Santa Catarina.
The man is suspected of being a member of the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC). According to the investigation, he is believed to have played an important role within the faction in the arms distribution sector.
The 35-year-old suspect was arrested in front of a housing complex in São Mateus, in the east of São Paulo. With him, the military found a rifle, two pistols, three magazines, a holster, a scope, more than a hundred rounds of ammunition, five cell phones, two drones and two motorcycles.
The agents found the suspect, who had two outstanding arrest warrants for the crimes of drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons and criminal organization, during a patrol by the Police Special Actions Company.
When approached, the man presented a false document to the agents, who used an intelligence tool and discovered the suspect’s true identity.
The case was registered at the 49th Police District, in São Mateus, as vehicle seizure, capture of a wanted person, receiving stolen goods, illegal possession of a weapon and use of a false document.
