PNY introduced the XLR8 CS3140 solid state drive. This M.2 2280 drive features PCIe Gen4 x4 and NVMe 1.4 protocol support. Using the next generation interface, it achieves sequential read speeds up to 7500 MB / s and sequential write speeds up to 6850 MB / s.
The CS3140 is available in two versions. The external feature of one of them, designed for desktop computers, is a massive aluminum radiator. The heatsinkless version is intended for laptops.
The drive will be available in 1 and 2 TB sizes starting this month. Prices are not yet known. The source does not indicate the resource of the drives, limiting itself to mentioning the five-year warranty.
