Two police officers were arrested after approaching a Porsche that was reportedly without a license plate, and taking the watch and a sum of money from the driver, who reported the case to the Internal Affairs Department.
When contacted, the Military Police, through the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), reported that after the victim’s complaint, a team from the Internal Affairs Department went to the scene and arrested the two agents in the act.
With them, the watch and the amount in cash were found.
The two agents were taken to the Romão Gomes Military Prison, in the north of the capital.
Still in a statement, the PM stated that “it repudiates the criminal action and will act to ensure that the police are punished with rigor and speed”.
