A military police officer was shot dead on Sunday morning (26) at the Flamengo landfill, in the south of Rio de Janeiro.
PM Marcos Paulo Freire de Azevedo was on his way to work in the 19th BPM (Copacabana), where he was packed, when he was shot.
Agents of the 2nd BPM (Botafogo) were called for an occurrence of theft on Avenida Infante Dom Henrique. The policeman was already dead when the teams arrived at the scene.
After attending the occurrence, the area was isolated and the place was preserved for expertise. The case is investigated by the Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC).
