The Federal Police (PF) will request information from the black boxes of the Voepass aircraft that crashed in Vinhedo, last Friday (9), from the Air Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (Cenipa).
Sources linked to the investigation say that the data must also undergo expert analysis.
The black boxes arrived at the Cenipa laboratory, in Brasília, on the morning of this Saturday (10).
The equipment is already being analyzed by specialists. The center is linked to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), which should release a preliminary report within 30 days.
In the case of the PF, the experts are investigating possible causes and crimes in the accident. According to investigators, the conclusion should take “months”.
The corporation sent ten federal criminal experts specialized in identifying victims of disasters, air accidents and complex crimes to work on collecting information in Vinhedo (SP).
The teams used laser equipment and 3D scanners to map the remains of the accident. The technologies allowed the investigation to begin on Friday night, even without much lighting at the site.
The experts were in a hurry, as there was a priority operation to rescue the bodies and more members of the public forces needed to work in the area, which would change the location of the accident.
With the images collected and information from the black boxes, the PF intends to understand the “dynamics of the accident”. The footage taken by people who saw the moment the aircraft fell can also help to understand what happened.
One of the experts told CNN for example, that the way the aircraft cabin was “flattened” is compatible with the “vertical fall” or “flat screw”, revealed by images published on the internet.
