Plane crash in Philadelphia was an accident, says transport security

The National Transport Security Council (NTSB) confirmed on Saturday (1st) that the crash of the small plane in Philadelphia was an accident.

At least seven people died when the plane crashed shortly after takeoff in Philadelphia on Friday (31), including a child and five others aboard the aircraft and a person on the ground.

The Mexican government said that all who were on the plane were Mexican citizens.

On board were a pediatric patient and his mother returning home in Mexico after the child was treated in Philadelphia, said Shai Gold, spokesman for the jet rescue air ambulance flight operator. The girl was being treated of a disease at Shriners Children’s Hospital, in northeastern Philadelphia, municipal authorities said on Saturday.

The accident occurs after this week’s collision between an American Airlines jet and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter about Washington, DC, who killed 67 people in the deadliest plane crash in the country since 2009.
