More than 2,000 rounds of ammunition and two pistols were seized with the help of sniffer dogs in Cidade de Deus, a community in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
The seizure is part of the actions of Operation Ordo, which began on Monday (15) and is now operating in 14 communities in the west of the city.
In total, they were located 2,305 rounds of ammunition for rifles of different calibers, 20 weapon magazines, two pistols and five grenades.
The seized materials were inside a barrel and were located by dogs after an anonymous tip.
Operation Ordo
The Civil and Military Police of Rio de Janeiro launched, at the beginning of the week, an operation that brought together several state agencies, the city government and concessionaires.
On Wednesday (17), the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro announced that it had expanded Operation Ordo to four more communities: Covanca, Jordan, Santa Maria and Bateau Mouche.
