first accident
On September 27, 2022, Silva was piloting a private plane that crashed in dense forest. The aircraft was found two days later by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).
Silva was only found 13 days after the crash. At the time, the pilot said that he had a very difficult time in the woods.
He reported that the plane he was piloting overheated and the engine stopped working. He tried to land near a river, but ended up getting stuck in the canopy of a tree.
In interviews, he said that he was afraid of hypothermia and that he shivered a lot for his body to maintain its temperature.
He said that when he was almost out of strength, he ended up finding a river, where he followed the course. That’s when a vessel passed and rescued him.
