The Pi Network team introduced a road map of migration to Meinnet. It describes a three -stage plan for the translation of millions of early users awaiting the transition to an open network. New awards were also introduced, including bonuses for invitations
However, unlike other projects, Pi Network did not indicate specific dates or deadlines. This caused disappointment with the early participants who are waiting for awards and clarity in deployment time.
Three -phase Pi Network Migration Plan
According to the road map, Pi Network will first complete the initial migrations for the early users already in line. This group includes proven basic mining awards, security contributions, blocking obligations, awards for using utility applications and confirmed awards for some node operators.
After the end of the first wave, the team will take care of the second migration, adding all the bonuses for mining at invitations related to the team members. Pi claims that these awards for invitations will follow after the completion of the current line.
Finally, the network will go to regular periodic migrations – perhaps monthly or quarterly – for the processing of the remaining bonuses and awards.
The frequency will be determined later, the roadmap notes.
That the community did not like
A careful study reveals several gaps and potential problems in the roadmap.
Firstly, the plan does not specify how many early users are in line and what is the daily throughput of the network for migration. Without this information, users cannot predict when their own migration will occur.
The operators of the nodes report that some “confirmed awards for nodes” have already received, but the criteria for their receipt remain unclear. Early operators of the nodes are worried that they can miss the opportunity without clear landmarks.
Many pioneers claim that they are pressing the buttons daily to receive awards from the moment of opening migration, but still have not received basic mining awards. They are wondering if these basic awards and the deferred bonuses will arrive for invitations in the second phase.
The roadmap also admits that the interface “Transmitted Balance” underestimates the actually migrated amounts for saving resources. Users are afraid that such a pessimistic display can undermine confidence if their true balances remain hidden.
It is important that the PI does not offer an audit or process of resolving errors for users who find inconsistencies in their historical data mining.
The schedule also does not take into account how the main unlocks of tokens, such as the release of approximately 108.9 million PI tokens this month, will be agreed with the waves of migration.
This raises questions about whether the PI has ever worked on the real blockchain protocol.
