Philips introduced headphones specifically for sleep: they isolate from noise and soothe

There are plenty of wireless headphones on the modern market for every taste and color – from compact budget-level earplugs to large full-size models of the flagship segment. But the developers at Philips decided to create something unique by presenting the world with a model of wireless headphones designed specifically for sleep, which no one has done before. To do this, the brand specialists worked together with Kokoon employees who specialize in sleep and various technologies in this direction, in order to ultimately create a novelty under the discreet name N7808.

The new earbuds come with fairly small earbuds, only 6mm thick, plus the manufacturer decided to put all the electronic components in a separate case that sits behind the user’s head. As a result, wireless headphones still have wires connecting the electronic unit and the “earbuds” themselves, but Philips assures that this unit will not interfere with the user when lying down, and the absence of electronic components inside the headphones made it possible to make them as compact as possible, so they do not interfere with a person even when used throughout the night.

Also, the N7808 model provides excellent noise isolation, because external noise is usually the main reason for disturbing the user’s sleep. In addition, in addition to passive isolation from the sounds of the outside world, the headphones provide an advanced active noise reduction system based on artificial intelligence. As a result, the user will hear only specially tuned white noise, which smooths out any loud sounds of the surrounding world and does not disturb a person’s sleep. There is even a special technology for those who prefer to listen to music or a podcast before going to bed, for example.

The fact is that the headphones monitor the user’s sleep mode in order to adapt the broadcast of content and automatically attenuate the sound if the person falls asleep. This feature works with Spotify, Audible, Apple Music and YouTube, as well as Kokoon, Calm and Headspace apps. Moreover, Kokoon’s proprietary application allows you to track the user’s sleep process, since inside the headphones there is a small accelerometer heart rate sensor that collects information about a person’s activity and forms a detailed graph of how the user slept, suggesting how this process can be improved.

Unfortunately, so far no one has provided information on the price of the Philips N7808.
