The Federal Police launched, on the morning of Tuesday (29), the OPERATION NARCO CANDLE to dismantle a criminal organization focused on International Drug Trafficking especially for the European and African continents.
The PF says that drugs is made with the use of satellite equipment and vessels capable of crossing the ocean such as boats and sailboats.
More than 300 federal police and 50 military police from the State of São Paulo comply with four pre -trial detention warrants, 31 temporary arrest warrants and 62 search and seizure warrants in the states of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Maranhão, Pará and Santa Catarina.
In addition to the arrests and searches, the Federal Court also determined the blockade and seizure of assets up to R $ 1.32 billion.
The investigation was attended by Dea (Drug Encarcement Agency), US Navy, Spanish Civil Guard and French Navy.
The Calculation in the PF began from a communication of the DEA of a seizure of 3 tons of cocaine in February 2023, inside a Brazilian sailboat, at the high sea near the African continent, with the approach made by the American Navy.
Other loads were also intercepted in international waters by the Spanish Civil Guard and French Navy.
The investigated will respond, according to their conduct, for crimes of international drug trafficking, association for trafficking and integration of criminal organization.
