PF executes warrant to seize Marcos Do Val’s passports

The Federal Police (PF) went to an address belonging to Senator Marcos Do Val, in Vitória (ES), to seize the parliamentarian’s passports, including his diplomatic passport.

The agents were complying with an order from Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF). The documents, however, were not located.

According to Do Val’s defense, the senator’s passports are in Brasília and will be handed over voluntarily.

The search was part of the same operation that served warrants against addresses of blogger Oswaldo Eustáquio, in Brasília (DF).

As reported by CNN, there is an investigation against Marcos Do Val for alleged threats, obstruction of justice, as well as crimes against honor and corruption of minors.

According to the agents, the senator posted a video on the internet of a teenager who was allegedly one of Oswaldo Eustáquio’s sons.

The video shows photos of police officers and the teenager comments on an allegedly violent operation by the PF against Eustáquio.

In the same decision, Minister Alexandre de Moraes ordered the blocking of the parliamentarian’s social media and accounts.

Other Side

Senator Marcos Do Val’s defense claims that the retention of the senator’s diplomatic passport “lacks legal and suitable grounds.”

The lawyers claim that “the decision is added to a series of others that, in addition to violating fundamental guarantees of Senator Marcos do Val as a citizen under investigation, who does not have any circumstances or antecedents that discredit him; they also violate rights inherent to the exercise of the mandate of Senator of the Republic, preventing Marcos do Val from fully exercising the mandate”.
