This Monday (17th), a mega police operation was launched in Goiás for the fulfillment of about 549 arrest warrants.
The action was carried out by a Public Security Task Force of Goiás (FTSP/GO), which includes the participation of the Federal Police, Federal Highway Police, National Penitentiary Department, Military Police, Civil Police, and Criminal Police.
These more than 500 arrest warrants were for fugitives from justice and detainees awaiting compliance by the police. Among the crimes committed are murder, robbery, robbery, drug trafficking, rape and organized crime.
For the operation, the police carried out a survey in databases of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), Federal Police, General Directorate of Penitentiary Administration of Goiás (DGAP) and other available systems, and cross-referenced information.
“The operation can be considered the largest so far launched nationwide, with the aim of arresting criminals and fulfilling arrest warrants,” the Federal Police said in a statement.
The PF is expected to hold a press conference at 10:30 am this Friday to provide more details on the operation.
